Have a chinese malaysian guy friend from that place, Terangganu. HE recited the Al Fatihah to me the other day, which I thought was freaky. But according to him, it's a normality to know that by default. Especially if one is a non-muslim from Terangganu...

Weird.

Dear Dramaqueen

This is news to me - a Chinese Malaysian knows Al Fatihah by heart. On 2nd thought, it's hardly surprising.

Terengganu was governed by Parti Islam Semalaysia (PAS) for many years since the Anwar Ibrahim saga, i think in 1999 to 2004. If your friend was in school under "Pemerintahan Islam", he should be learning quite a bit of the Quran Holy book - especially the opening.

Weird no more after you read this, huh?

Anyways, reconfirm this with him cos it's only my deductive reasoning here based on the political history.
